How do I become a Freemason and join the Old Tauntonian Lodge?

Becoming a Freemason is quite straightforward. The regulations of the Grand Lodge of England require that all candidates for Freemasonry must be at least 21 years of age and have a belief in a Supreme Being. The by-laws of Old Tauntonian Lodge requires candidates to be Old Boys of Taunton School (or present or retired Masters of the School), or male parents of a student educated at the school.

Application for membership, either as a new Mason or as a joining member should be made to the Lodge Secretary, Graham Bowerman: graham.bowerman@gmail.com or 01275 858488

If you already know a member of the Lodge, please feel free to ask him as many questions as you like to ascertain that this is for you.
